Bipolar & Relationship Specialist

The Backstory

Hopping from therapist to therapist was discouraging. They all offered some insight but never truly understood what it was like to stare at the dishes or a pile of laundry all day with dread, and stay up drinking, obsessing or crafting til the sun came up. So she became that therapist, the one who truly get’s it. Then she became the client who did what other professionals said can’t be done, she healed herself. After years of schooling, medication, inner-child work, lifestyle and diet changes, she figured it out. Once dependent on medication for stability, she no longer is.

Destiny’s unique perspective comes from her personal journey of overcoming various conditions including Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, chronic migraines, obesity, alcohol dependency and childhood trauma. Finding the right care, targeting foundational issues and building confidence in advocating for herself are key components of the healing process.

She has spent the last 15 years as a trauma-informed therapist, one of the very few therapist who specialize in treating Bipolar Disorders. In addition, she is an experienced substance abuse counselor and spent her early career as a behavioral specialist with a thorough understanding of child development and family systems. Destiny emphasized the importance of addressing gut and organ health as she takes a holistic approach to treatment.
