Taking care of YOU

With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all interconnected. The basis of this type of treatment believes that if we change our thoughts, we can change our feelings, thus leading to changed behaviors.

Thoughts.

How we think about a situation can determine how we act upon it. I can help you uncover what thoughts are lying behind undesirable behaviors. Bringing awareness to unhealthy thoughts is the start to a new way of living. Challenging unhealthy thoughts to create a more balanced way of experiencing a situation can make all the difference.

Feelings.

Trying to identify how something makes you feels sounds easy enough but believe it or not, this can be quite difficult. Often times we feel stuck and don’t know how to get out. Whether it is doubting your abilities to make a change or feeling like you’re not good enough, we will work together to explore these feelings.

Behaviors.

We often times know we are doing something that needs to be changed, however, we don’t know HOW to make the change. I will work with you to unwrap what is behind this behavior. Whether it’s cheating, drinking too much, or are you having a hard time believing in yourself, I can help you gain a better understanding of HOW to make the change.
